Saleswoman Called Her Engagement Ring ‘Pathetic’; Her Response Was EPIC

What has our nation come to?

It was a crushing experience for a young man trying to buy an engagement ring for the love of his life.

As Quinn prepared to pay the $130 he had barely scraped together for the best rings he could afford, the saleswoman called his selection “pathetic.”

Quinn’s heart sank.

But his bride-to-be, Ariel McRae, was having none of it. She let loose an epic response that shut that snooty saleswoman right up.

As Ariel recounted on Facebook following their ordeal:

“While we were purchasing my rings…another lady that was working [at Pandora] came over to help the lady selling them to us. She said, ‘Can you believe that some men get these as engagement rings? How pathetic.’ When she said that I watched my now husband’s face fall.”

Ariel said Quinn already felt bad about not being able to afford a more expensive engagement ring she had been eyeing.

She wasn’t about to let the man she loved go down in flames, and told the saleswoman: “It isn’t the ring that matters, it is the love that goes into buying one that is.”

Ariel continued: “I would have gotten married to this man if it had been a 25¢ gum ball machine ring. When did our nation fall so far to think the only way a man can truly love a woman is if he buys her $3,000+ jewelry? …Why do material possessions equate love??”
